HONOR YOUR SKIN- CLEAR SKIN & MAKE-UP
I love make up and I would be lost without it. It can illuminate your skin, hide dark circles, camouflage imperfections, enhance features and it can make you feel glamorous. If you have acne-prone skin like I do you should be very selective with what kind of make-up you apply to your skin. Make sure it is oil-free and non-comedogenic (i.e. will not clog pores). Before I committed to only using products that had these two things on the label I continued to struggle with acne. I believe that in addition to the right skin care regimen your make-up plays an important role in the health and appearance of your skin. I’m sure there are other great foundations for acne-prone skin out there but these are my tried and true favorites! I’ve also included my picks for you lucky ladies who do not have acne-prone skin. 1) Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 – Oil Free by Laura Mercier
Best tinted moisturizer ever. It provides light to medium natural-looking coverage and gives your skin a radiant finish. You will look and feel like you are not wearing anything but small imperfections will be concealed. The oil-free version is great for acne-prone skin and the original formulation (not oil-free) is great for people that have normal skin or dry skin.

2) Protective Mineral Powder by Being True.
This mineral powder is amazing! It is available in a pressed powder or loose powder form and it provides medium to full coverage depending on how much you apply and the type of brush that you use. It is unlike any other mineral powder because it contains an anti-aging ingredient called idebenone and magically does not magnify pores and fine lines like most powders do. Great for all skin types.

3) Stay Matte Oil-Free Makeup by Clinique.
My newest obsession. It gives flawless-looking medium coverage and controls shine all day. It also photographs beautifully.

4) Skin Clearing liquid make-up by Neutrogena.
This is a great drug store option. This product does contain salicylic acid, which can be drying, so this might not be the best option for you if you are using face wash that also contains salicylic acid or any prescription products that could irritate your skin.

I love how lightweight this is! It is hydrating and sheer with buildable coverage. It also gives you a subtle glow à la Jennifer Lopez.

3) BAREMINERALSbareSkin® Pure Brightening Serum Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20
My sister turned me on to this new foundation and it looks gorgeous! This foundation is great because it is super lightweight and has a beautiful natural finish, but gives the skin an airbrushed appearance. Added bonus, this foundation is paraben-free, oil-free, non-comedogenic and fragrance free.
